Recently after packaging ASSP 1.2.6 on Gentoo Linux. I finally got a chance after upgrading a couple of clients ASSP installs to upgrading my own. 1.1.1 -> 1.2.6
I must say I am very impressed and pleased with the results. Over the past weeks. I have seen the amount of spam that actually makes it to ASSP and is written to disk for Bayesian purposes cut by at least 2/3. I have reports that come to me nightly on spam emails that are rejected and etc. Those used to range around 45KB-70+KB. Which did not include all emails, since I would have rules filter out/omit common spam stuff. Since 1.2.6, those reports have dropped to between 10KB-15KB. The new features such as punk buster, delaying, etc. They are all great. Good work guys, and thanks for helping free me from even more spam :) -- William L. Thomson Jr. Gentoo/Java
