Why not leave it in and instead place a very stern warning about resource
consumption next to the checkbox.

I like the idea of someone (hopefully) placing all the legitimate sites in a
list for my perusal. Especially for small sites with light traffic a little
external help in sorting mail is always welcome. It allows to tighten HELO
and RBL rules but still receive mail from the large sites such as Yahoo, GMX
or Amazon.
