Geode, what server platform? I run multiple ASSP instances in a very similar configuration on W2K Server.
If windows, I register as service under different names, bind to individual IPs in each instance, run all instances in separate subdirectories. But you want to look @ the wiki regarding binding ASSP to an IP address. It will make sense after you've worked with it more. Good Luck!
