uh ? ok, a 'manual' helo blacklist. I mean a place where i can manually put
bad HELOs (that's what i do, since 2 years.).

(actual checkbox for 'helo blacklist' , uses a feature automagically
mantained by assp, for them who believe in bayes.. and i suppose that
checkbox should be moved to "bayes Options" or at least renamed to Use the
Bayesian Helo Blacklist)

can't tell you why, but i had the impression that i use "local Host Names"
to block helos (infact i use file:BadHelo.txt). Am I wrong ?

it looks to me that the description is wrong (ip addresses or 'alias' ..
what's an alias ?? you resolve the ip address via a dns lookup or you just
use the helo ? ) i suppose that field just verifies HELO. In stats you
count hits as 'Helo Forged', and the check to use it is still under
ValidateSender and it's called "Validate Local HELOs"

and that option is part of sender validation because (even if you enter and
IP address) it does not verify it against the connecting IP, but with a
parameter (HELO) that the sender is giving.

I think that given it's actual placement (relaying) , name and description,
users don't realize that's just a helo blacklist. (and yes, it's smart to
put into that your local ip, alias etc because they are often forged in
spam).

so, since Helo Blacklist is already in use, what about calling it
"Expression to Identify HELO You Want To Block at Any Cost*"
it looks consistent to me with denySenderRe

pls, correct me if i'm wrong that it logs as Forged Helo and that actually
verifies helos.
