I am friends with a couple professional Perl programmers that have done major (and I am not exaggerating), MAJOR, projects for the DoD as well as fortune-500 financial institutions - in Perl, using well-established CPAN modules extensively. (Unfortunately, my friends are far too busy to get involved with the ASSP project at this time.) The notion that using CPAN modules makes a Perl application inherently insecure is ludicrous. That depends entirely on which modules is, who maintains it, and what it does. To make such a blanket statement against the use of modules is absurd. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
