my strategy for assp is about detecting offending hosts (IPs), not blocking single emails. So i use whitelists mostly to speed up processing. My single white is used for : Don't do Black Box for these IPs* Don't Delay these IPs* ISP/Secondary MX Servers* [i don't do bayesian filtering, so this is enough for me] so my suggestion is to start easy and default assp to use a single list (of known good hosts) for all 'ip pass' strategies. of course i check single messages against : bombh regex, blacklisted domains, surbl, attachment and virus. ymmv ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
