I took "if *nix install Sys::Syslog" to mean you wanted the script to be
multi-platform. wrong?
Win32 only is actually pretty simple IMHO.


I was just thinking in general terms and it seems it wouldn't actually be that 
much more work to make it multiplatform if we're talking a setup.pl, but I 
agree that for the most part, windows admins are more likely to have a hard 
time installing so it's probably best to focus in that direction initially
