If you are using filenames as numbers, asp can maintain the files for
you. Ive seen 9000 recommended as a suitable number of spam/ham to keep.

Search the mailing list history if you can for more info on this, it was
discussed a few weeks ago i think. You shouldn't have to maintain it
yourself.

As to the norm its a ratio of spam to ham. Ideally you want them about
even, and once you enable assp to manage the files this takes care of
itself.

Im busy, so this is very general, please ask if you still need more
assistance, plus im sure others will chime in with more specific info.

Cheers...

Subject: [Assp-user] Spam Collection

I have a couple of questions. First the spam in the spam
folder keeps growning in size and I'm wondering if I should
manually delete files in the folder or does assp delete them
after a pre-determined amount? I have the Max Files set at
16000. Second the norm=1.5658 is this good or bad? If bad
how or what do I need to inorder to make it better?
