Yup, it's not a bad idea and has been tried before elsewhere- "point of
injection" seems to give good hits discussing this idea.

It is past it's time though now, most spammers are now using bots or zombies
to send spam- as the spam originates there (in the SMTP sense) and passes
through legitimate servers it doesn't work that well anymore.


I've been thinking about how to combat spam bot networks, I even spent an
hour or so writing something up but the computer I read my mail on is still
NT4, and in the excitement I had too many IE windows open and it crashed
loosing the draft.
