So inbound, you have:

Internet --> ASSP --> Sendmail

And outbound, you have:

Client --> ASSP --> Sendmail --> Internet

Right?

If so, in ASSP the two main settings you need are:
smtpDestination:=<Sendmail IP Address>[:<port>]
acceptAllMail:=<IP addresses or subnet of clients>

I have never personally configured Sendmail before, but here is the general
idea: if you specified a different port number in smtpDestination, configure
Sendmail to listen on that port. Next configure Sendmail to allow relay
attempts from ASSP. Note that in the flow described above, the only host
Sendmail is ever receiving inbound or outbound email from is the ASSP
server, and your clients need to have their SMTP server switched to ASSP as
well.

Remember that you have to change your public MX record (or your ISP's mail
relay server) too so that inbound email is delivered directly to ASSP and
not to Sendmail.

Somebody correct me if I'm all screwed up.

Nate
