I'm going to assume that by outbound you mean submitting email through ASSP to your server. Offhand I would suggest verifying that the proper settings are in the 'Network Setup' section, "EnforceAuth" in particular. Also what does the ASSP maillog show when you attempt to submit mail? What does the server behind ASSP show in it's logs?
