I am having issues with a new install of assp in a virtual server. I have the server setup to receive mail on a few IP's and route them all __INBOUND__:125 (or a different port). It's on a separate box from the mail servers. ASSP acts act the MX gateway, connecting to the real mail server.
The SMTP Destination is: __INBOUND__:188 And the SMTP destination routing table is: 207.1.2.137=>10.1.5.52:25|207.1.2.16=>10.1.5.53:25|10.1.5.134=>207.1.2.234:25 sometimes it starts and restarts solid. Other times, like the last hour, the log is full of May-8-07 16:07:06 Couldn't create server socket to __INBOUND__:188 -- aborting connection I usually stop the program and change the port number in the config...it eventually works, but takes a very long time. something is wrong.... It's a very clean vps with no other running processes. I am familiar enough with IP and ports to know that there are no conflicts. Can anyone PLEASE give me some input??? Another idea is if I were to add the MS Virtual network adapter, I could maybe setup the SMTP Destination for each IP to an internal IP, and then route the internal IP out???? I'm totally guessing...looking for any and all help. I've been going around in circles on this for two days.
