There are two ways of influencing the balance, - use the error reports more often - set maxbytes accordingly The average ham tends to be longer than the average spam. In my installation it is 8k for ham and 4k for spam. It is simple math to see, that the balance is tilted to ham (0.5) if you have the same number of files for ham and spam.
