Sending from web messaging is a lot different. A desktop client can be
configured to hit ASSP first. Imail's, and most other, web messaging can
not. End of story.

The Imail server is running the web messaging application. Emails that are
sent via web messaging are already in Imail. Imail delivers these based on
your SMTP configuration in Imail. If you have Imail configured to deliver
via DNS, which it is if you have "Send All Remote Mail Through Gateway"
unchecked, then it will try to find a way to get to the domain you are using
for your email interface. If you are running your own DNS, you can put an
entry there for the ASSP email interface domain and point it back to your
ASSP incoming port. This may work for you, I don't know.

Good luck,

Doug
