Would it not be better if addresses that disregard the greeting delay time 
could add to the PB score, be blacklisted for some time duration, etc. like 
most of the other SMTP checks?  I realize this would take much more code 
than what is in the current ASSP version.

An even more fundamental question:  is there recent data to support using a 
greeting delay as an anti-spam technique?  The method has been around for a 
long time in other packages.  I think it's very likely spammers have mail 
systems that are smart enough to wait for the greeting for some time.

http://www.armory.com/~spcecdt/spamware/ indicates that a 5 second delay 
only blocked 4.46% of spammers.  This test was done years ago, so I'm 
sceptical that it would have much benefit now.
