For all those who are having issues with ASSP, there are plenty of
supportive posts.
I even posted a simple how-to way back in version 1.0.? When there was
little more then 25 snips of mailing lists on the ASSP website.
If you're still having issues don't be harassing Fritz, He picked up the
ball when John retired from the project and has done amazing things;
post your questions to the list and let any of the experienced users
help you.
I also find the wiki to be informative with diagrams of installation.
Too often people ask questions without RTFM and that iritates people and
often they wont post responses to your questions.
IMHO the only questions that should be posted and directed at Fritz
should be when you find bugs or security issues. With thousands of
working installs, if your questions starts with "it doesn't work" or
"it's broken" chances are you need to go back to the docs.
Lastly, don't learn how an SMTP program like ASSP works on a live
server! Unless you want to be blacklisted as a relay or criple your
companies email system, then there are easier ways.
Thanks Fritz for doing such an awesome job over the past few years. From
all of us that use and "depend" on ASSP your contributions are
immeasureable.
Thanks
{gets off soap box}
Peter
