My situation: ASSP on W2K connected to inet Using IMail Smtp32.exe MS Exchange on W2K3 connected to internal network only History: ASSP + IMail on the same server for 3+ years. Exchange installed November 2006 Everything working until June 2007. Error Log: Error message on Exchange server="SMTP server responded with 501 5.5.4 invalid address The full command was helo mail.biuk.co.uk" I ran a telnet session to the exchange server, typed in "helo mail.biuk.co.uk" (I wanted to see the error in real time) Exchange server replies with "Hello [my IP address]" (indicating that it has accepted the connection) I have run telnet as myself and the service account that the ASSP daemon runs under, and there is no error. (I have sent email internal and inet) More digging for me I am afraid. Thanks for listening. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
