Do you want the current number of connections of just the max limit 
imposed by ASSP?

Aside from *maybe* using a perl script that parses the web interface for 
  the current number of connections i'm not sure this value can be 
grabbed from a console.

The max limit can be grabbed from the assp.cfg file.
