I have a question about the Penalty Box usage and associated penalty trap
addresses. I have several domains running through ASSP, some of which use
catchall addresses so any email address at the domain is valid. There are
several specific email addresses though that only receive spam email (and
lots of it). Initially, I had these email addresses set up as spam
collectors, but now I'd like to start rejecting mail to them and hopefully
clean them up over time. An example is [EMAIL PROTECTED] I put hzlkv in
the Penalty Trap Addresses, and then set a Penalty Reply / PenaltyError of
"'554 5.7.1 Unsolicited Email Rejected. Please send a message to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] if you believe this to be incorrect."

I was hoping that any email sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] would be rejected
immediately (and perhaps ultimately be taken off of the spammers list), and
that the source IP would receive penalty points for sending to the hzlkv
email address. Well, the IP address of the sending server IS receiving
penalty points, but no rejection response is being sent.

I have Penalty Box set to "2" (logging / scoring)- do I need to set it to
"1" (activate) to have the message immediately rejected? Also, what exactly
is the difference between Penalty Box "1" (Activate) and "2" (Logging /
Scoring)?

Lastly, if I can't reject an email based on the recipients address using the
Penalty Box, is there some other way that I can do this (e.g. Regex)?
Thanks much!
