Hi everyone, I have been working on a glossary of terms for the wiki that you can find here:
http://www.asspsmtp.org/wiki/Glossary Many of these entries have been sparked from my own work educating my upper management and marketing department as to why they sometimes have issues with e-mail rejections - not understanding that by the nature of the beast, they are sending email much like spammers. And taking these foreign concepts and pseudo-technical information, and trying to present it in a way the is short, concise, and easy to digest. I have offered background information and origins of terms wherever I could to make things even more palpable. My intent for combining this all into a glossary or terms is for it to serve as a basic overview of features, etc, with brief (easy to digest) descriptions of ASSP features and e-mail/spam terminology. I've started with what I consider to be the core/basics of ASSP features, and will continue to expand it further as time allows. What I would appreciate from any of you out there is some feedback on the accuracy of what I have done so far and recommendations for what to cover next. Note: These aren't meant to be detailed. Better details will be (or are already) covered in specific wiki articles. These glossary entries are more like layman overviews, in an attempt to make the underlying concepts something easier to understand for those that are less technical and/or unfamiliar with email and anti-spam terminology. Thanks for your (hopefully constructive) criticisms! :-) Feel free to email me *directly* or post your comments on the discussions tab of the Glossary page. There is no need to continue this discussion on this list.
