I've had problems with CCSpam in previous versions, but Fritz fixed it. Since then, I've not really noticed any partial copies in my own CCSpam.
Fritz, you mentioned that "the ccSpam feature was never intended for copying the full message". But, I think it is something that several people (including myself) have come to rely on for getting the false positives to the end user. I've been using it ever since v 1.0.12 and it has been a lifesaver many times. It would be really great if we could keep it that way in the future. The copied part is as I could see not always the same size and sometimes, like I said it's fully copied. Maybe, I shouldn't use this that way, but I have an account to get all ccSpam and when we have false-psotive I foward the e-mail to my users, so they get the e-mail they haven't received. Normally I post in the "test" list, but this question was first asked here in the general assp list... I had the samething with the stable release. Here's my ASSP version. If I'm right, it shouldn't happen, righ ? >The ccmaxBytes isn't set, so it should leave intact mails copied to the >sendAllSpam address ? - the ccSpam feature was never intended for copying the full message. It was meant to be sent to the email interface for reporting. - however I try to copy the full message whenever it is possible. - some checks prevent copying full message, but it should be very rare. what type of spam messages are not fully copied ? how long is the copied part? how long should it be (if known)? fritz ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
