first query, using a regular DNS

dig @4.2.2.2 www.google.com

;; QUESTION SECTION:
;www.google.com. IN A

;; ANSWER SECTION:
www.google.com. 32912 IN CNAME www.l.google.com.
www.l.google.com. 136 IN A 74.125.19.104
www.l.google.com. 136 IN A 74.125.19.103
www.l.google.com. 136 IN A 74.125.19.147
www.l.google.com. 136 IN A 74.125.19.99

ok.. everything's fine.. till now, at this point let's try a second
query using one of the OpenDNS servers

dig @208.67.222.222 www.google.com

;; QUESTION SECTION:
;www.google.com. IN A

;; ANSWER SECTION:
www.google.com. 30 IN CNAME
google.navigation.opendns.com.
google.navigation.opendns.com. 30 IN A 208.67.217.230
google.navigation.opendns.com. 30 IN A 208.67.217.231

now.. if you're using the OpenDNS servers, opening the google web
site will show you a perfectly "ok" page, but if you look at the source
code for the page you may notice something "strange", btw if you are
not using OpenDNS you may try opening
http://google.navigation.opendns.com
and looking at the page source ... just in case, that page allows
OpenDNS
to intercept all your google queries and to see which results you'll
click
and btw things don't stop there, have a look at their privacy policy and
ensure to read it *carefully* and compare what you'll find with the
above
then... decide by yourself
