Pointing out bugs and instability issues is not complaining. That's
stating fact, which unfortunately might seem negative. But it's not.

Well let's see Linus and Alan Cox have an excellent reputation, and are
pretty close to perfect coders. D.J. Bernstein not only writes good
code, but also teaches others, FYI author of Qmail.
Heck even John Hanna did a damn good job. How many years was development
stagnant with little to no bugs or issues? Quite a while, and I was
pleased when development resumed when Fritz took over. Love the initial
features, and almost immediately commented on their effectiveness with
my thanks and praise.
I think allot of this comes down to language of choice. Difference
between compiled verses scripted. Compilers tend to help improve code on
one level. Like in the past when SMTP Merak var was missing a $. A
compiler would have complained about that. So other bugs MIGHT be
obvious things like that. Granted there could be other issues, like run
time casting, null pointers, and etc with compiled languages. Much less
design with being able to modularize code, use of OO design. Instead of
it all being in a big single file, with mixed comments, config stuff,
html pages, and core code.
It's also a bit harder for one to write bad code with a compiled vs
scripted/interpreted code. But surely not impossible, bad code can be
written in any language.

That's pretty funny. Figures someone running Windows would say that.
Maybe if you had a little Unix/Linux experience or etc. You might think
otherwise. Perl and perl apps are WAY more native on *nix OS than
windows. Years ago anything perl on Windows was worse than pulling teeth
via door knob.
If anything that would be more of a result of newer libraries or etc in
my env. But pretty 100% it's nothing like that. The problematic areas,
don't seem to be in features that are using external stuff. But I have
not done a review, audit of code, so hard to comment.

I think the one thing I might not have done yet is post my config to the
list for review. I will look into that, and see about posting it for
review. In case any problems lie there, but I wouldn't bet on it myself.

My PB features work probably ~90% of the time or more, but not 100%.
There are some problems in there some where. Evident when noPB IP is
blocked, or emails from deny always IP's arrive and hit the Bayesian
filter or etc.

That MIGHT be a possibility but doubtful. Reasons there are usually when
our modifications effect something. It's evident right away. Plus other
Gentoo users would have same problem, and a bug would be filed. As they
have been filed in the past and I worked them :)

It's why I was requesting a bundle I could download. So I could package
for the platform and test. But based on others postings since then. I am
kinda scared of 1.3.5 already.

You want dates as to when I first mentioned the issues that I still
experience daily. Some date back several months to September and
October. Still I am holding my breath ;) Should be dead by now :) Surely
Fritz and others wish that was the case. =)

How does EmailSpam and EmailHam work? Is it true that if we send spam mails to
EmailSpam like [EMAIL PROTECTED], ASSP updates its database with that mails?

Essentially yeah that's how it works.
ASSP will add the emails to the appropriate folder ( spam|notspam ) and then
take those email into the spamdb on your next rebuildspamdb.pl. ASSP will
not update the database immediately though, only after a rebuild.

To be more specific, ASSP will add the emails to the "errors/spam" or
"errors/notspam" folders depending on the address you use. Emails in the
"errors" directories have a higher value than the ones in the regular
spam/notspam directories. The purpose of this is to correct errors in your
regular spam/ham folders so that you get better bayesian matching.
