The problem is that the spammers server is doing massive address 
harvesting.

Having the most common invalid addresses set to blacklist an IP prevents 
a spammer from continually trying to harvest messages by blocking them 
before they can find a legitimate address.

The reason is to not allow the spammer to use your own address 
validation against you.
