OK. I've been able to experiment with Astaro and ASSP.

1. ASSP gets a StartTLS request and with version 2 it can't process  
these messages. That's the first problem. (Used to work in v1).

2. ASSP gets the message from the Astaro server and therefore has its  
IP as the connecting server. A while back someone requested to have  
the ASSP trace back using the headers if an email came from a certain  
address to find out the previous 'hop'. If this could be done it would  
be just what we need.

Why use ASSP if Astaro can do spam filtering? Because ASSP does a far  
more comprehensive job (OK, I know that you all know that!).

Why use Astaro for email when ASSP does such a good job? Because  
Astaro does other things such as transparant encryption and signing  
using S/MIME or PGP.
