I thought so as well, so spent renamed a couple of videos to the
filenames that had snuck by, and sending to myself from gmail and
hotmail, whitelisting the addresses I was sending from, and testing
again. It blocked them all, so was inconclusive.

The same here.
What I remember from the last 2 cases is that one of them had an 
attachment with a space in the filename. it was a .wmv
probably the other too but I'm not sure. maybe a clue..
