Hi
Sorry folks. false alarm. It was a permission issue. I had initially
unzipped assp as sudo user therefore the entire assp folder had permission
(root:root), while assp was running as nobody:nobody.
After pulling my hair out on other things i nailed it to permissions and
everything started to work after i chowned and chgrpd to nobody:nobody.
Maybe it can be included as "permissions" under "P"
http://apps.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/assp/index.php?title=Category:Reference&from=NoMaillog
But i wonder why there is an option "setFilePermOnStart". (why will you
reset it to 777?)
Now i tried setting up stunnel only to have my assp gui session encrypted,
but it didn't work.
i followed steps on stunnel sourceforge and getting my key (in pem) and
create a certifiicate (.crt) and a self -sign it. But i am confused why in
the GUI it says the certificate must be in .pem format?
if anyone care to elobrate how they did it then i will elobrate more. thanx.
Instuctions i followed:

On a side note, one other thing i found with firefox (cache glitch), after
applying changes to GUI phase of ASSP when i started to hit "refresh", out
of nowhere my assp.cfg went to "default" setting. Don't ask me how, it
happened after few minutes the server went live. All i could do at that
moment was ... PANIC..lol! It's all good now.
