You need to run a packet dump if possible, and watch the dns resolution while smtp logged into the exchange server firsrt. For some reason exchange is not sending through ASSP. When you send an email through echange, does the recipient get an email with ASSP headers added? What is odd is the mention of postfix at all. Unless you have postfix installed on windows, which I am not even sure is possible. When on the box the exchange server is on, what does a dns lookup for assp.local return? It should return an A record for the address the assp machine is on. Technically if it's not local to the machine, you may want to use a different name, just for your own personal clarity. Maybe [email protected] or, I like to use a real host name, but not set to an IP that is publically routable. Maybe [email protected].
