I'm trying to remember where I was reading, but there's 2 different "from" fields on e-mails, an external (I think it's envelope from) and an internal (which I believe is the From that we see in the e-mail) and the two aren't required to be the same value. I vaguely recall hitting this issue at one point when I was first using ASSP. As for what ASSP is supposed to do on that, I yield to anyone who's looked through the code.
