the idea is to move them to "reject..." as above and leave the
addresses there for a reasonable amount of time (e.g. 30 or
60 days) and then either delete the mailboxes from the email
servers so that ASSP will then generate traps from them or
directly move the addresses from "reject" to "spamtrap"

The idea is that some legit senders may try sending emails
to those addresses, so putting them in "reject" will allow the
senders to either remove the addresses from their lists (e.g.
a mailing list or the like) or in any case inquiry you about
the error the sender got back; then, after a reasonable time
you may safely turn those addresses into traps without
affecting legit senders
