That is incorrect. ASSP V1 uses the same->SMTP Destination Routing
Table  (smtpDestinationRT) as V2.
 
"If INBOUND is used in the SMTP Destination field, the rules specified
here are used to route the inbound IP address to a different outbound
IP address. You must specify a port number with the outbound IP
address. This feature works by assigning as many IP numbers to ASSP as
you have different receiving Mailservers."

The reason for this construction is: ASSP is a proxy and not a
store-and-forward server. There is only the IP information available
when ASSP has to decide what destination is used.
