I posted a while back regarding an annoyance with missing carriage-returns
in log files. Turns out that the returns are only missing after a restart,
until the log file is archived and a new one is started at midnight for the
next day. The new file as well as all subsequent log files have returns
like they're supposed to, until ASSP is restarted.
This makes a relatively minor annoyance even more minor but with this info
it's probably an easy fix. The problem is still present in 1.8.1.9
(1.0.02).
Keep up the great work. I should mention that the domain which originally
received 100K+ spam emails per day when ASSP was first installed to replace
a Symantec Brightmail installation just over a year ago now receives less
than 20K attempts per day. I'd call that progress, and am guessing that
many of the spammers have left in search of softer targets.
