Hello Max,
Thanks for your suggestion.
I have not tried it though. Can I perform this operation while I am still
running assp v1x and perl 5.10 install

I think that you must have perl supponrting mutithreading...

In my case i reinstalll perl.. so i compile them with multithreading suport
following these steps:

# bunzip2 perl-5.12.2.tar.bz2
# tar -xvf perl-5.12.1.tar
# cd perl-5.12.2
# ./Configure -Dusethreads
# make
# make test
# make install
# perl -V | grep threads
config_args='-Dusethreads'
useithreads=define, usemultiplicity=define

Following the steps.. i need to install some perl modules, where i thinks is
relevant in these case these dependences that yo can install executing (via
cpan):

# perl -MCPAN -e "install threads::shared"
# perl -MCPAN -e "install Thread::Queue"
# perl -MCPAN -e "install Thread::State"
:
other dependences to install
:

Finally, install ASSP:

# useradd -s /bin/false -M yuppi
# unzip ASSP\ 2.0.1\ 1.0.06\ install.ZIP
# cp -frv assp /etc/
# chown -R yuppi:yuppi /etc/assp/
# cd /etc/assp/
# perl assp.pl

i hope these help you..

Salu2!
