Continuing.... After I put the IP in the blacklisted IP's, so it would block email, it delivered an email and did NOT lock up ASSP. I retrieved it from the spam folder.
Before doing this, I also sent the email address involved an email from outside the system, and it was delivered without a problem. Previous to this, the machine had been restarted, just to ensure that no other things were in play. why would a whitelisted server cause ASSP to become unresponsive and chew at 100% cpu immediately after connecting?
