Thanks, Fritz. In the mean time I updated to today's version and that fixed the issue.
It would have been nice if this fairly serious bug would have been more clearly announced here on the list after it was discovered. I wasted the entire day trying to figure out what was going on, and I've lost several days of emails in my cyrus DB because I had tried a lot of other things (and caused more damage due to my inexperience with it) before it dawned on me that this was ASSP's fault. I'm still working on reconstructing my DBs and recovering the last mails. For now, I've disabled auto update. That was a bad idea to enable it (this is, in fact, the second time that it broke a well working ASSP configuration for me). When I started using ASSP many years ago, it was the only "easily" installable spam filter for my little mail server. By now it has grown into a monster that I do not comprehend any more. But what are the options? Where do I find a mail service that has a good spam filter and that also lets me configure spamtrap addresses and other smart filters? Or shall I just give up and switch to gmail?
