I have to assume you've not read any of my replies in depth nor have you noticed that I quoted other people saying such things. For example, Fritz is the person who said V2 is more for the 'professional', I never said that. Since he did however, I have since believed what he said, that V2 is geared toward commercial level mail hosting services whereas our needs to extend to this level anymore.
You should also re-read my and other posts where many people are not complaining that there is no free help but that help is either hard to understand or barely existent in many cases and more importantly, many of us are simply asking for PAID support. Finally, if you re-read my posts, you'll see that I did upgrade Perl to 5.16 along with most modules etc so it's not like I'm new to an OS or perl or anything else, it's that it is difficult to get clear, concise answers on the list. Perhaps not by fault most times but definitely by language barriers many times. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I understand what a mailing list, I've built them, I've hosted them, I've offered them and I'm using them :) Mike -----Original Message----- From: Grayhat Sent: Tuesday, May 21, 2013 6:30 AM To: assp-user@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: Re: [Assp-user] Dowgrading from V2 to V1 > There is one more thing I would like to try. First of all, you should understand that this is a mailing list devoted to ASSP, this means that people may or may NOT answer (it's up to them) and that, at the same time, you can't pretend an immediate or in any case timely answer. That said, V2 is not a "Pro version of V1", if you consider it so, then you're totally off-target; V2 was born (and exists) as a version which, implementing multithreading, plugins and some more stuff, allows to use ASSP to process *HUGE* amounts of incoming/outgoing email messages Now, if you need help, this is the right place, but before asking for help, ensure to do your homework, and keep in mind that, to use ASSP you'll need to get your feet wet with Perl and with the OS you use, otherwise, if you are seeking for some kind of "next, next, next" kind of app, you'd better look elsewhere (and, almost for sure, get something which will never reach the ASSP kind of "sniper" accuracy) All the best ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Try New Relic Now & We'll Send You this Cool Shirt New Relic is the only SaaS-based application performance monitoring service that delivers powerful full stack analytics.
