Hi Fritz

Hmmm so why would it create a new file and then shortly thereafter sorry am
using 14072 I said that wrong before.

This is what is in the file called 14-03-19.maillog.txt

Mar-19-14 22:20:03 new log file -- old log file renamed to
'14-03-19.maillog.txt'
....
Various log entries
....
Mar-20-14 00:00:05: Rolling log file -- archive saved as
'14-03-19.maillog.txt'

So its overwriting itself! First by creating a new file and the by doing the
roll over...

Is it possible that the size of the file is causing it to create a new file
before its time for the roll over? Thy are usually around 165MB

How can we control the roll over timing/size?

Also I have it set to roll every 7 days would this cause an issue?

Thanks

John

Sorry, but I cannot reproduce this. The maillog will normally roll at 00.00.
