Hey everyone. I have a random issue that has been cropping up out of
nowhere. We are running ASSP version 2.4.1(14085) and randomly ASSP
would fail to start up after the scheduled restart script runs. We have
the ASSP service restarting every 4 hours to keep our memory usage low.
I found that thius morning ASSP failed to start up and Windows logged
the error as being an issue with perl.exe. Event ID 1000 Application
error, faulting application perl.exe, faulting module name mswsock.dll,
version: 6.1.7601.17514. The version of Perl we are using is version
5.16.3.1603 (32bit). We are running this on a Windows 7 64bit box. It
has been running this same configuration for quite sometime now and the
only change we made a few months back is to start using MYSQL for the
database of ASSP.

When this script runs, it uses netstop & netstart to stop and restart
the ASSP service. In the process of the stop and restart, I am also
issuing a taskkill for perl.exe because there has been instances where
perl was hanging the service from stopping & restarting. It has been
running this way for months without any issues. When Perl.exe fails to
start, I can go into the server machine and start ASSP manually from the
services manager. It runs fine without any further issues. Then I won't
see this situation happen again anywhere from a few days to a month.

Has anyone else run into this issue?
