Hi all,

after an upgrade of the 'libwww-perl' (LWP::Simple) to version 6.08, no
assp installation is any longer able to download any content via HTTP.
You'll see something like '... download failed , write error - 500 bad
filedescriptor' in the maillog.txt.
This is caused by a forced upgrade (dependency) of the module Net::HTTP to
version 6.07, which is not working correct.

To fix this - downgrade the module 'Net::HTTP' to version 6.06 using CPAN
http://search.cpan.org/~gaas/Net-HTTP-6.06/

or use the provided module download (PPM) from the assp packages at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/assp/files/ASSP%20V2%20multithreading/packages/

Net-HTTP-6.06.ppd
Net-HTTP-6.06.tar.gz

The module 'Net::HTTP' contains no binary code - no C-compiler is required
to install it.

Thomas
