Thanks. That's exactly what I needed to know. This is my first massive perl script running as a daemon that I installed myself, so I was a bit unsure. I'm on SmartOS (an illumos distribution), and it took a while to get all the modules to compile and install. I definitely wanted to make sure that I could reproduce it. :-D
