I have always done it once daily, midnight or early AM. Even that might be to
much. I have had some issues lately since I started rebuilding it more often.
For a while, since switching to V2, I had to rebuild manually. I would do that
maybe once or twice a week. Seemed to have less issues when I rebuild less
often, but that could just be a coincidence. I am sticking with daily as I had
done that for years. At most maybe twice a day, but that would depend on the
volume of mail.

The frequency has to do with the volume of mail and how much email you keep on
file for ASSP. If your volume is such that you flush out all emails, then you
want to make sure your rebuild is within that window. If it takes a week to
flush out all, then you could likely get by with weekly. If it happens every
day, might need to rebuild twice a day.

I think that is the best rule of thumb for such, because it does vary based on
email volume, and amount of emails kept. If you do not have much volume, and
the same emails on file for extended periods. Rebuilding often is likely doing
very little if anything.

I recall Thomas saying something about V2 and rebuildspam being integrated.
Not sure if it gets rebuilt automatically by ASSP when the norm/corpus gets to
far out of whack or something. Thomas will chime in on that part. I just
recall Thomas mentioning something like that. When I was curious why
rebuildspamdb could no longer be invoked directly, used to be rebuildspamdb.pl
now its a pm.
