To prevent assp.pl from forking to a daemon process on startup, either open the assp.cfg and change the AsADaemon value to 0, or open the web config gui and expand the "Server Setup" section, and change "Run ASSP as a Daemon" to "No".

Kill assp and restart it and it should run in the foreground.

Hi,

I'd like to see the output of assp.pl but when I run it interactively (in
my case perl /usr/share/assp/assp.pl) it automatically forks to the
background. That is fine for production but I would like to see any
regular errors and output it generates. In particular I'm looking for
messages relating to database (MySQL, BerkeleyDB, plain text file)
configuration errors.

Is there a command line switch that prevents it from daemonizing? Or
should I just set SysLogFac to mail and watch my /var/log/mail.log?

Thanks!

Martin
