Hi there, we are having issues with spam that is being forwarded to external emails, like gmail. Is there any way to make assp do not forward (simply discard) any message detected as spam? I mean....for people using forwarders from the hosted domain to gmail for example.

Lately is happening a lot and gmail is lowering the server ip reputation for this.

Here is the note from one of our techs, probably could help...

Recently i have seen an influx of emails that are stuck in the queue that are being rejected and stuck in the queue for one of two reasons the first is that there is no authentication information because it is a forwarder and the second is that when these do work which I am honestly not sure how it does, maybe because the line "-aclc _authenticated_local_user 4" but those ones are blocked by Google because it is forwarded spam.

This behavior is slowly but surely hurting your email reputation although the biggest impact is likely from the high amount of emails that are bounced to unknown users when inbound spam is bounced. Generally what we do to address for cpanel hosts is to set exim to drop and not bounce based on SpamAssassin score and to not forward to external domains when SpamAssassin marks the email as spam, I am not sure if this will work on your hosts however as it uses assp instead.

Thanx in advance!

Im using ASSP v2 and ASSP deluxe for cpanel.

Manuel
