Unconventional idea but ok, I've tested this now - switched assp to running with mysql server running on other machine. No impact on assp cpu usage whatsoever.


If you're running on a single server I suggest you change to BerkeleyDB. ASSP runs far faster without involving SQL overhead - as far as I know the only reason to use a SQL backend is for shared/multi server applications.
