Part time Lecturers Telkom Polytechnic
in Accounting Computerization, Information
System, and Computer Engineering
Main Purpose
Responsible
to Telkom Polytechnic, the successful candidate will conduct high quality
teaching in the subject areas above, and contribute to the design and delivery
of
courses to diploma level.
Main Duties
1. Teaching
a.
To support, develop and teach in the subject
modules offered by Telkom Polytechnic in
a manner consistent with the highest academic standards and service to
students,
b.
To use a wide range of learning and teaching
methodologies and assessments which fosters positive learning environment for
students,
c.
To work proactively in improving existing
courses and programs,
d.
To contribute to the design and development
of new courses and programs,
e.
To offer supervision to research students.
2. Good Citizenship
a.
To play an appropriate role in the
administration and leadership/ management of the Telkom Polytechnic,
b.
To contribute enthusiastically to the
running of the Telkom Polytechnic’s present activities through participation
in, for example, ad hoc committees, open days, etc.
c.
To be prepared to contribute proactively to
formal and informal Polytechnic and external committees and teams that address
potential future Telkom Polytechnic activities.
Person Specification
For
Appointment as Part time lecturer:
Candidates
must possess a good honour degree. The
candidate should have high quality interpersonal and communication skills
consistent with the highest quality of teaching and learning; and evidence of
successful teamwork and a collegial approach.
A successful candidate
will show evidence of:
a.
Ability to lecture effectively in a
co-operative manner.
b.
Ability to lecture at diploma levels.
c.
Good interpersonal, persuasion and
communication skills.
d.
Willingness to supervise taught diploma
and/or research students.
e.
Willingness to contribute as a team player
to the management,
f.
An appropriate grasp of current research and
practice trends in the field.
Specific Requirement:
1.
Bachelor, Postgraduate and Master degree
with specialized field: Telecommunication Engineering, Industrial Engineering,
Informatics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Accounting, English, Mathematics, Physics, Islam Religion,
Christian Religion, Catholic Religion, Buddha Religion, Hindu Religion and
alumni of LEMHANAS .
2.
Minimum GPA is 2,75
General Requirement:
1.
Mentally and physically healthy
2.
Maximal age per 1st August 2008:
50 years
3.
TOEFL score minimum 500 points
4.
Having teaching experience is preferable
5.
Having industry related experience is a plus
point
