I tested the build process on Debian stable 7.0 (x86_64),  Debian
testing (x86_64), Ubuntu 12.04 (x86_64) and Raspbian Wheezy (arm 32bit).
It succeeded on all of them. (all of them use the debian multiarch
implementation)
