Ignoring failed commands seems like a bad idea.  Failed command often
occur because of a typo and in this case I want to edit the failed command.


how about implementing $HISTTIMEFORMAT too ?

$ echo $HISTTIMEFORMAT
%c
$ history 2
  916  Sat, Jan 04, 2014  4:38:14 AM echo $HISTTIMEFORMAT
  917  Sat, Jan 04, 2014  4:38:39 AM history 2
