Hello,

Every time I start ksh I get a strange message you can see when you
run dmesg. The messages look like this:

ioctl32(ksh:10707): Unknown cmd fd(0) cmd(0000530f){t:'S';sz:0}
argb(ffd1c74) on /dev/tty1

The /dev/tty1 is for console vt 1, and in X windows you get /dev/pts/1
or whatever instead. If you run a shell script, you get she shell
script name instead of ksh in the first parenthesis. The number 10707
changes with different scripts. The number ffd1c74 also changes.

I am runing a 64 bit 2.6.32.9 64 bit kernel, but I use a 32 bit
userspace. It is not a multilib system (there are no 64 bit libs at
all).

Is there something I can do to tell ksh not to generate these
messages? The ksh seems to work fine, but it spams my syslog.

This happens both with ksh-20090505 and ksh-20100301. I also get
messages about Fzapp2407.exe in my system logs when I build ksh, even
though this is a linux system where .exe files won't run, but they say
on pipe:[####] and on socket:[#####] instead of on /dev/ttyX or
/dev/pts/X.

I assume I'm not configuring something with the ksh build correctly,
but I have no idea how to tweak that.

JGH
