the AT&T Software Technology ast beta 2010-07-01 source release
has been posted to the download site
http://www.research.att.com/sw/download/beta/
this release contains ksh93u- and libast api changes that will
preserve backwards and forwards source and binary compatibility
also, a few more section (1) commands have been put through the
posix VSC test wringer
NOTE: some reported bugs have not been addressed yet
