Ah POSIX. Got it.    Does it forbid it?

I've only stuck with name() because it's the least common denominator.
'function name' doesn't work in /bin/sh. But then again neither does
'typeset'.

Andthese days /bin/sh, is more likely to be either bash or ksh93, so I
guess it's time to move.
